Marbella City Council this month reported that, according to a survey conducted by the delegation of Tourism, hotel capacity in the town reached 85% occupancy in June, representing an increase of between 3% and 5% compared with the same month last year.
The Councillor for Tourism, Javier Porcuna, has viewed this data as "very positive, especially for the coming months of July and August, when many of the hotels will reach almost full capacity” and stressed that "Marbella is consolidating itself as a reference destination internationally, mainly thanks to the rise of European markets."
The Head of Tourism, Miguel Luna, meanwhile, stressed that "these figures encourage us in the delegation of Tourism to keep working every day to improve services for visitors" and stressed that "thanks to our infrastructure, beaches and the weather in Marbella, we are always guaranteed a summer season. "
