Coinciding with the launch of its new website, the Vuelta Andalucía MTB this month announced details of all the stages of the fifth edition of the competition, which will be held from 25th to the 28th of May 2017.
The Andalusian round of the popular mountain bike competition will be held at the usual time during the last week of May from Thursday to Sunday. It will be divided into four stages made up of four individual challenges, and will take place in the towns of Yunquera (Málaga), Huétor Tájar (Granada), San Pedro Alcántara (Málaga) and Alcala de los Gazules (Cádiz).
Competitors will have to contest with 250 kilometres of routes and an accumulated climb of over 8,000 metres. It is a great event for mountain bike enthusiasts, who will also have the opportunity to discover and enjoy remote beauty spots and rides through the countryside.
The surroundings of the Sierra de las Nieves in Malaga, the Sierra de Parapanda in Granada and the Natural Park of Alcornocales in Cadiz will be the centrepoint of some of the routes worthy of a ‘Vuelta Andalucía’ and will showcase the natural heritage of this southern Spanish region.
Inscription for the competition is flexible and participants can choose to take part in the complete Vuelta to obtain the Finisher Shirt or to participate in individual stages. They will also be able to take part as an individual, a team or as a company.
