Puerto Banus will be transformed this month into an international fashion catwalk. The first edition of 'Marbella Fashion Week' will be launched on the 21st and 22nd of July.
The event has been organised in conjunction with the City Council who confirmed it has been endorsed by "a wide trajectory in the world of fashion."
The mayor, accompanied by the head of tourism, Miguel Luna, the event organiser, María José González, and representative of ‘United Arab Emirates’, Jinan Elmadi, also highlighted the number of international designers who will be attending.
Miguel Luna, for his part, confirmed Marbella’s objective to position itself firmly in the international fashion calendar. This first edition already features the participation of leading international designers.
The event will open on Friday, 21st of July, with collections from Stefania Pinyagina, followed by Hamza Ben Sabih by Marcano, who will also receive a commemorative plaque as an emerging designer. The first day will continue with collections from Jesus Segado and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada.
On the 22nd of July the show will commence with a collection from Oumaima Haute Couture. The day will continue with Javier Alcántara and international couture designer Abed Mahfouz, who will receive recognition for his professional career.
