Three of the four spanish streets with the most expensive property rentals are located in Marbella. This is the conclusion of Idealista.com which this month released a study of property rental prices throughout Spain. Three areas of Marbella listed in first, third and fourth positions in the study. The second position was identified as Tibidabo Avenue in Barcelona.

Interestingly, none of the three areas indicated in the study are on the Golden Mile.

The first is the Calle Alcalá, located in the Las Brisas Urbanisation, in the district of Nueva Andalucía known as 'Valle del Golf'. This is an area of luxury villas, and the portal itself offers an insight into to why it has become the most expensive location in Spain’s rental market. This avenue houses a villa with 10 rooms and 1,500 square meters overlooking the Concha and with a cost of 118,000 euros per month. The property, which is rented only for short periods, has two presidential suites both with a dressing room and private room, terraces, a separate bungalow and movie theatre, all in a plot of 4,000 square metres. The average rental rates in this street are a staggering 38,950 euros per month, according to the report.

In third position is the Sierra Blanca Urbanisation, where many of the higher value villas in Marbella are located. In this area, the report estimates the average monthly rental to be 16,300 euros.

In fourth position, Guadalmina Baja Urbanisation is one of the more traditional areas of high-end villas in the city, where, according to the study, rentals amount to an average of 16,300 euros per month.

With other streets in Marbella also classified among the 15 most expensive in Spain, the overall Andalusian ranking is practically monopolised by streets and neighbourhoods of this one city. The study reveals this, identifying Marbella as having the seven most expensive streets in Andalusia.
